Summary

The Peatland Forest Carbon Science, Policy and Management Learning Management System (LMS) has been developed by a consortium of four Universities and is available to anyone.  A user needs only to register for a course in order to receive login credentials.  To request register, please send an email to Jay Samek (samekjay@msu.edu) and include in the subject line: "USAID LESTARI LMS REGISTRATION".  An email will be sent back to you with your log-in credentials.

The courses are in module formats and are designed to be self-paced.  Each module is expected to take 9 - 11 hours to complete.  Modules include lecture presentation material, readings, exercises and quizzes.  Each module ends with a 50 question exam (true/false and multiple-choice). Upon completion, printable University Consortium signed module and course certificates are available to users.

    USAID LESTARI LMS (BAHASA INDONESIA)

    Ini adalah kursus pendidikan dan pelatihan gratis, terbuka untuk mahasiswa tingkat universitas, fakultas dan praktisi lapangan. Kursus ini dirancang di sekitar lima modul yang berfokus pada lahan gambut, perubahan iklim, dan respons nasional. Modul-modul tersebut adalah: Ekologi Hutan Gambut, Karbon Hutan Gambut, Keanekaragaman Hayati, Kehutanan Sosial, dan Respon Indonesia terhadap Mitigasi dan Adaptasi Perubahan Iklim.

    This is a free, open educational and training course for university level students, faculty and field practitioners. The course is designed around five modules focused on Peatland areas, climate change, and the national response. The modules are: Peat Forest Ecology, Peat Forest Carbon, Biodiversity, Social Forestry, and Indonesian Response to Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.
